ANTITHESIS_ Please tell us about the origins of the name Biscuithead.
DAISUKE_ The name came up when I was digging records. (Long time ago in London. I was a student). I found an album by a band called "Half Man Half Biscuit." The name fascinated me, didn't like their music though. With a bit of twist, Biscuithead started.
A_ Wine or Sake?
D_ I prefer wine.
A_ Past seasons of Biscuithead draw inspiration from various sources, including punk, video games, and balloons. Can you share any influences on the designs of FW24?
D_ Started with shapes, and I pick up circle this season. Place circles in a garment, garments in a circle.
A_ Cheeseburger or Katsu Sando?
D_ Cheeseburger
A_ Prior to Biscuithead, you were the chief pattern cutter at Comme des Garçons Homme Plus. How did your time there influence what Biscuithead would become?
D_ I leant a lot from Rei Kawakubo. For example, question common sense to create something new. Without CDG, Biscuithead would be another brand.
A_ Carbonara or Ramen?
D_ Carbonara now, Ramen later.
A_ What fictional character would you like to see wearing Biscuithead?
D_ SpongeBob would suit this "circle" collection.
